I ended up having to get the Ring Chime Pro for wifi extension. My house is almost 80 ft long, and to the shed is close to 85 ft from the wifi. So I plugged the chime way back in my room, closer to the shed, and it works fast on giving me info. I have no idea why, but it wouldn't even work 20 ft from the wifi when I was testing distances. With the Ring Chime Pro though, it is amazing :) Now to find my detach cover tool to charge it :( lol

    I typically don’t write these types of product reviews, HOWEVER, I just want to brag for a moment because holy battery life! We had the previous version for a couple years and while the style didn’t change much, I felt like I was always needing to charge the old version. The other version didn’t have a solar option either so I was again forever charging it. I purchased this one on December 31st 2024 and today April 25th 2025 is the first time I have needed to charge my doorbell. To say I am IMPRESSED is an understatement. I forgot that 2 weeks ago I received a reminder to charge and it still recorded even through today. It was also really nice that I didn’t have to be bothered to charge it every few weeks! We are definitely a ring product family with 2 floodlight cams, a doorbell, chime and a stick up camera. All Ring products are quality and I’ve never actually had one stop working on me I’ve simply just wanted to upgrade. If you’re on the fence try it you most likely won’t regret it!

La calidad de imagen es muy buena, incluso de noche, y la detección de movimiento funciona perfecto: me llega una notificación cada vez que alguien se acerca a la puerta, incluso antes de que toquen.

    La instalación fue sencilla (viene con todo lo necesario) y la app es intuitiva. Puedo ver en tiempo real quién está en la puerta, hablar con ellos y hasta revisar grabaciones anteriores si no estoy en casa.

    I had a different brand of video doorbell for the past 4 years. It was terrible. Half the time it would not pick up a person standing directly in front of it and even when someone pushed the doorbell button it did not always alert on our phone or ring the doorbell chime in the house. I finally had enough and switched to this Ring doorbell. I am so glad I did. The Ring doorbell is 1000% better. The video quality, the app, the controls, and even the setup are all way better. I should have made this change 4 years ago.

    The ring outdoor camera is a very good product I’ve always wondered what would go on outside at night or even when I’m at work I get real time messages to my phone from ring that tells me if someone’s at my door with this camera I can talk through it and have a full conversation with someone there’s even an app that I can change every setting on it to my liking I’m loving this door bell the best thing I’ve ever bought would 100% recommend for someone who is curious about security in and around there home.

    I recently upgraded to the 2024 Ring Battery Doorbell, and overall, it’s a great addition to my home security. The head-to-toe video, motion detection, and two-way talk work well, but the battery life isn’t as long as I expected.

    Pros:

    ✔ Clear Head-to-Toe Video – The high-quality video feed lets me see people and packages clearly at my doorstep.
    ✔ Easy Installation – Setting it up was simple, and the wireless design makes it convenient for renters or homeowners.
    ✔ Reliable Motion Detection – Alerts are fast and accurate, with adjustable sensitivity to reduce false notifications.
    ✔ Two-Way Talk is Crisp – The audio is clear, making it easy to communicate with visitors.
    ✔ Live View Works Well – I can check my front door anytime from my phone.

    Cons:

    ➖ Battery Life Could Be Better – If you get a lot of motion alerts, the battery drains faster than expected. A solar charger or spare battery may be needed.
    ➖ Subscription Required for Full Features – Without a Ring Protect plan, you don’t get video recording, which limits its usefulness.
    ➖ Lag in Live View at Times – Occasionally, there’s a slight delay when opening Live View, especially on slower Wi-Fi connections.

    Final Thoughts:

    This is my second time purchasing a ring, the first was connected to my doorbell and made my doorbell ring by itself consistently. I then bought the battery operated one, God forbid your wifi goes off and needs to be reset because I was trying all day to reconnect to the ring back to the wifi and it did not work after SEVERAL attempts. I contacted customer service and thank goodness I was helped by someone who knows how to resolve issues. They’re currently in the process of sending me a chime to better connect to the wifi. I hope that the chime works and that I don’t have any further issues. If I do I will be returning…Coming back to update, I was sent a chime for free to fix the above issues and everything is working smoothly, so far so good so I came back to give the ring 5 stars. I am appreciative of Rings customer service

    I ended up having to get the Ring Chime Pro for wifi extension. My house is almost 80 ft long, and to the shed is close to 85 ft from the wifi. So I plugged the chime way back in my room, closer to the shed, and it works fast on giving me info. I have no idea why, but it wouldn't even work 20 ft from the wifi when I was testing distances. With the Ring Chime Pro though, it is amazing :) Now to find my detach cover tool to charge it :( lol
