Last time I wore Bare Minerals I was in high school and I remember I didn’t like it. I don’t know if maybe I just didn’t know how to put make up on back then and I was just winging it or I was putting to much on but I remember it always looking very heavy and didn’t look good on my very oily skin. 14 years later I decided to give it another try because my mom wears it and it looks very natural on her. Let me just say WOW I can impressed. It looks so natural and doesn’t sit in my fine lines. As the day goes on my makeup actually looks better then when I first put it on in the day. The oil that does peep through looks natural and not greasy and heavy. I also finish off my makeup with the bare minerals setting powder which I feel makes a very big difference. It also feels like I’m not wearing any makeup which I love. I also like that apparently it’s supposed to help your skin improve over time. This picture I am posting is after wearing Bare Minerals for 8+ hours. All I can say is if you aren’t sure just give it a try you won’t regret it.

    I've been using bareMinerals powder foundation for close to a decade. I have very sensitive skin and have fluctuated between mild and moderate/severe acne so love how light and breathable it feels (never heavy or caked), but provides good coverage over my concealer for an even skintone for most of the day. I do sometimes need to reapply for the evening if I'm getting more dressed up, but prefer the how light it is for everyday, and this lasts me close to a year with daily application. I also appreciate that they have different color tones as I am very fair skinned but with pink tones and most brands have very yellow undertones for their lightest colors. I've used both the original and matte finishes but have not noticed a significant enough difference to have a strong preference between the two. I don't anticipate switching foundations until they discontinue this one.

    I remember when the QVC commercials for this came out in the 90s. I have always wanted to try this. I have a stainless steel makeup palette. I like to apply the powder on its surface and swirl the brush that way. Emptying it in the cap gets things dirty. I wish this was a larger container/amount. We shall see how long this lasts. As far as performance, this works so well and looks so pretty! This would be great all on its own or on top of liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer. Works best if you wait for your moisturizer/sun screen to absorb before applying the powder. The container is great for travel and I love how the inside mechanism locks in place to keep the powder contained. Wish more brands did this for their powders!
