Four generations of craftsmanship

Four generations of master salt makers have been hand harvesting the naturally formed pyramid flakes that have become Maldon‘s signature. The Osborne‘s have been making the best quality salt for a century. That‘s a long while and a lot of salt for a family both custodians of an ancient culinary tradition and creators of a brand recognised the world over.

Granted the Royal Warrant in 2012

In 2010 Her Majesty The Queen was welcomed to the salt works in Maldon. Two years later we were granted a Royal Warrant as official purveyors of sea salt.

I’ve been looking for a flaky salt ever since reading salt fat acid heat and this one makes such a difference in taste! I honestly couldn’t believe it. Of flaky salts this one is the best one I’ve tried. I can’t find it in any stores so I’m glad it’s here. So worth it is so crunchy and not that salty compared to finer salt, just enhances flavour beautifully.
