Disappointing Experience with Segway Ninebot KickScooter F-25
I purchased the Segway Ninebot KickScooter F-25 for my son, and initially, we were quite pleased with it. However, after just over a month of use, the rear tire went flat, leading to a series of frustrating experiences. Firstly, while Segway includes a spare tire, their instructional videos for tire replacement are not only hard to find but also quite unhelpful. After a significant struggle, I managed to remove one screw from the rear wheel, but the other screw was improperly installed, making it impossible to remove. When I reached out to Segway customer service, the representatives were initially friendly but only offered more unhelpful videos. I provided photos and videos of the faulty screw and requested warranty service, only to be met with silence from their end. My subsequent attempts to utilize their online Warranty Service form were futile, as the page kept returning an error. Hoping for a resolution, I contacted their customer service again and was promised a follow-up from the technical team, which never materialized even after two weeks. This entire ordeal has been extremely disappointing. The lack of effective customer support and the apparent disregard for honoring the product's warranty have left us with a $300 unusable scooter. I regret purchasing this product from Segway and strongly advise others to consider my experience before making a similar investment.

    I ordered this scooter in 10/23 as a prime deal for a Christmas present (12/23). I will admit that it was an error on my part not to take it out of the box to ensure it worked when it arrived, but figured it was brand new, so no need. Gave it as a Christmas present and low and behold it didnt work. It would not turn on at all. Amazon said they couldnt do anything other than send me to Segway customer service since it was past 30 days of purchase date. Contacted Segway customer support and thankfully they did send a pre-paid shipping label. So I package it up, affix label and take to Fedex. After 2 weeks, I contact Segway to inquire as I havent heard anything but FedEx tracking showed it had arrived. They said that it had been received and they were going through it. I told them I expected a new unit as that is what I bought and did not want a repaired or refurbished unit. They said since it was over 30days since purchase, there was nothing they could do other than repair it. After almost a month, the scooter re-arrived in a make shift box, not even the new box that I received after purchasing and the one that I sent it back in. It was semi beat up after being shipped a dozen times, but it does work at least. Lessons learned: 1) DO NOT BUY SEGWAY!! 2) Open anything electronic as soon as you get it to ensure it works. 3) If ordering something as a gift from amazon, make sure you are giving it within 30days of purchase.

    This scooter has been amazing for me. I have had this for 6 months and drove over 700 miles on it. It is overall very structurally sound and I have only had one minor crash, which was completely my fault. I ride it every day to school and back, with conditions ranging from 100 degree summer days to 35 degree winter mornings, and it has been very reliable. I bought this for $425 on sale and its been worth every penny. The charging time is very fast and the battery can get me pretty much anywhere in town. I advise you to tighten the screws on the handle bar attachment often, or it will make an annoying cracking noise. I mostly ride on the drive mode to save battery, but when you put it in sport mode, it wants to throw you off, the acceleration is crazy. When riding this scooter, please be aware of your surroundings because people simply can't drive. All in all, this scooter is great and will get you where you need to be.

    The scooter is very good. Very fast. I just bought this today. I charged it to 83% the mobile app said I had 8.6 miles of range left. I took my first ride and it only lasted 3.9 miles before the battery was completely drained. So don't rely on this if you have more than 6 miles of commute without ability to charge it in the middle. Other than that it works perfectly. The mobile app is nice. The acceleration feels nice. The regenerative braking is really good and stops pretty quickly from the topspeed. Build quality is solid. The extra tire and tube in the box is very nice to have.

    Well at first I felt the range was really low like 4 miles or less. Then I noticed it did not go up one hill near my house. To steep. Then I decided to check the tire air pressure and discovered it was really low. You can not feel the tire and tell how low like a bike. So I checked the manual for the proper pressure. Aired up the tires using the little hose extender then took it for a ride. The difference is night and day. Range jumped up a lot. It will go up all the medium hills now. I drove it 4 miles the other day and it only used 25 percent of the battery. It is a fun scooter to do what I do with it. Entertainment. If I lived in a city and it was more or less flat it could be a practical means of getting around. I use D mode most of the time not S (Sport) and not E for (Economy). One S uses to much battery and E doesn’t have any power at all. S is fun though.

    I live in washington state so it's wet.. Or, maybe the battery connection just wasn't the greatest.. Now it's not charging and when I get time I'll take it apart and check the connections. :( To get segway to fix it is a much greater pain in the but than just to dig in myself. (when I have time..) Right now its just an expensive clothes rack.
