After forgetting to wear gloves while doing heavy cleaning (and forgetting to stop getting older...) my nails were fragile, peeling, splitting, and even shattering if I banged them into something. After checking the reviews I decided to give this a try. it is easy to apply, and dries very quickly. You need to use it twice a day, on clean dry nails, for six days. The label says you can wear a coat of polish over it, but you'd have to remove that every day - I'd skip the polish and give this stuff six days to strengthen your nails. It's been two weeks since I finished the treatment and I haven't had a nail split or peel yet!

I’ve always had trouble with splitting and peeling nails until I tried this OPI product. I first used it as directed for 7 days. Then applied a couple of coats before nail polish. Another 7 days passed and I used it again for 7 days. By the third cycle my nails were looking pretty good and I hadn’t broken a nail or had splitting and peeling. I swear by this product and will continue using before every polish.

This serum has completely healed one of my nails that had been split for over 40yrs! My nail tech used it during one of my visits and I noticed the split was actually fusing together. I decided to eliminate my acrylic nails when I found it at Sally's (because of the unusual shape and color of the bottle that I recognized) I followed the directions and used clear Envy sealer following the application of this great product. I have since been able to "repair" acrylic damage as well as heal my split nail. I just wish I could see the level of serum left in the bottle so I do not run out!!

I remember going to a podiatrist office years ago, and when I walked by a room, he was cutting an elderly person‘s toenails. I asked him about it and he said lot of elderly people come in and have to have it done because their toenails are so thick. I remember just thinking to myself. Oh I’ll never be like that. Well here I am 65 ha ha ha my toenails are getting thick and crusty! This stuff is really working and making my toenail softer. It says on the bottle somewhere that you’ll notice a difference in the appearance of your nails as well. I really can see the difference. The whites of my nails are whiter and the base looks pink and more normal. The yellow tinge has gone and they are much easier to cut. I’m also taking keratin supplements so that might be helping as well.

I used to have beautiful, hard and attractive natural nails and thought they would always stay that way. Even when I went to the nail salons, I would bring my personal OPI products for them to use on my nails. However, I tired of the repeat visits because natural nail manicures didn’t stay on long and was envious of gel polish treatments that would keep up to 3 weeks or more, so I switched to gel manicures.

It took awhile for my nails to break down but eventually they did and I wanted my nails of the past, strong and natural. I am a faithful OPI product user and went back to natural polish removers and applying Nail Envy or similar products designed for weak or brittle nails. When I saw this new OPI product I was delighted to try something that would aid in supporting my nail care, however I was disappointed to receive a bottle that although beautiful, was heavy and dark. At $25 dollars it is one their more expensive products to date and I like to see how much product I receive in the bottle and how long it last. The current design does not allow that and I would much rather have less esthetic value and more product for my money.

If this Nail Repair Mode works I won’t complain, but if it doesn’t work I don’t think I can justify a replacement purchase at this high of a cost and a bottle design that hides the value for your dollar.

I think this is an underrated product to some degree (about 4.1 stars as of now). It DOES work, but... not really in 6 days. That said, nail growth is so slow and small that it would be hard to tell if there was growth in 6 days.

I had very damaged nails from poor care - spraying my plants with rubbing alcohol solution with no gloves was probably the biggest culprit (thanks thrips), but there was other neglect too. I'm really into nail wraps, so nails that broke were replaced with a press on until they grew out. The fake nails or glue was never removed properly. Eventually I had so many breaks and damaged nails I realized I had to start again. It's been agonizing waiting for them to grow so I can do nail wraps again.

If you use this serum, scrap the nail polishes that help your nails grow (they did nothing for me) and use this + nail moisturizers. I used this 2 to 4x a day - never less than 2 - from April 18 to May 1. The pictures show the growth in just under two weeks. Nails grow around 3mm per month. My middle finger on my left hand has grown about 2mm. That's tracking faster than typical growth. My index finger on my right hand only has about 1mm over the same time period. It's stubbornly slow.

So did this serum help speed up growth? Are my nails stronger?

Maybe. It definitely didn't hurt. If nothing else, it made me feel like I'm doing something to fix the situation, and that's likely just as valuable lol.

I don't think there is any product that can really make your nails grow faster/thicker, but I've also learned there is no single, silver bullet answer to fixing damaged nails. It requires a lot of routine changes and products. If you're born with weak, bendy nails, like me, the effects last only as long as you use the product(s).

***important: During this time I also used KUR Londontown Nail Restoration cream and Healthy Hoof + cotton gloves at least when I go to bed. I created an entire nail care regime that is, frankly, exhausting. But I miss my nail wraps so much, it's worth it.

It has really helped strengthen my nails over the month I have been using it with the nail polish OPI - Nail Envy. I've followed the use directions for painted nails: two coats on bare nails, then two coats of Nail Envy. This stays on my nails for 1-3 days with an additional coat of Nail Envy each day.

Once the Nail Envy has started to crack or chip on most of my nails, I remove it using acetone free remover, trim and file my nails as required - my nails were very bendy and were always flaking and tearing when I started. After 1 month they need much less maintenance for each manicure - push and trim my cuticles, apply the serum and Nail polish, use cuticle oil, then cover my hands in vaseline/petroleum jelly, put on some white cotton gloves and go to bed.

The serum is very thin, like water, it soaks into your nails and dries quickly.
