I love my little Wescott ruler. The quality is excellent, thick enough to to prevent warping but still has some flexibility. The cork on the bottom helps to keep it from sliding around while using, making it a perfect for my paper crafting projects. I have several sizes but especially like the 6" ruler when making cards.

When purchasing anything, build quality is always an important factor for me. Whether it be a new phone, a new pair of headphones, or a lightning cable, if it isn't built well I usually won't buy it. This same rule applies to small things such as rulers as well. If you need a ruler, I would highly recommend purchasing a stainless steel ruler such as this one. The Westcott ruler is very durable and won't snap in half nearly as easy as a plastic or wooden ruler. The stainless steel build also will last a lot longer than a plastic or wooden ruler and won't get marked up nearly as much as a wooden one. If you do say get marker or ink on the ruler you can just wipe it off with a paper towel. The bottom of the ruler is made of cork which eliminates sliding on any surface - vital for getting precise measurements. There is a hole on one end for hanging, however, I don't see how that would be of much use for me. The hash marks on the sides of the ruler are very dark and easily legible. On one side there are metric measurements and on the other are imperial measurements. My only complaint is that it is longer than a typical ruler at 15 inches. This is my opinion, however, so I won't take off a star for it as some people may prefer the extra length. Overall, I would highly recommend this ruler. Not only is it relatively inexpensive, the stainless steel build of this Westcott offers superior durability and build quality, not to mention the non-slip cork base.

I make hand-crafted greeting cards and like to have a small ruler in my toolbox. Six inches works great as the cards I make are almost always 4.25" x 5.5". I had an earlier version of this same ruler that got misplaced while on vacation a few months ago. I'd had it for almost 8 years, so that speaks to the quality.

This new version is slightly narrower, but otherwise basically the same as my old one. It's still easy to read and the thin cork backing provides some security as the ruler doesn't shift around while scoring or trimming. Good price, too. Compact size, durability, accuracy -- all add up to a 5 star reaction.

Ja, das kann man schon mal machen. Das Lineal hat auf der Rückseite einen Korkstreifen. Das ist sehr hilfreich wenn man Pigmentstifte verwendet. Das Lineal ist somit immer ein bisschen erhöht und man kann das Lineal etwas nach oben kippen, durch leichten Druck auf die untere Kante. Dann verschmiert nix mehr. Tolles Teil für einen kleinen Preis.
