I took the general advice I'd read in several reviews to order cushions a size or two larger than the cushion cover - and ended up returning them for the same size as the cover. So you might have to experiment... The return was easy though.

    I had crocheted a very nice afghan throw for my niece for Christmas, and bought way too much yarn for it, so I ordered these 16x16 feather pillow inserts. I crocheted two more blocks, bought some gray pillowcases from Wal-Mart to put over the pillow insert (both to help keep feathers from poking out, and to keep the white from peeking through when the crochet got stretched, and I'm very glad I did now), and just finished stitching the two blocks together over the pillow.

    It is so SOFT and malleable, just the perfect size to put in a chair or on a sofa with the afghan thrown across the back ... I'll probably end up making the second pillow before Christmas, I still have way too much gray yarn, and if she puts it on her sofa, two pillows is better than one. Or, I'll just wait until I make another afghan and make a matching pillow with this second insert, who knows.

    I'm kinda bummed about these. They are hard, not the soft fluff I was looking for. They are also very small, too small for the 16x16 pillow covers I ordered them for. They are well made, and fluff up after an hour or so. If you're not looking for soft fill, these are an excellent product just be sure to order at least 2 inches larger than the cover size. I'm sending them back.
