This is the perfect Spring/ Summer/ Fall beach or pool cover-up for those of us that want to actually be covered up after a day of swimming. So many other cover-ups are flimsy and made of sheer fabric that doesn’t really do much to cover you up other than a light layer. This one is made of a thinner sweater-like fabric that is very unique and unusual- I don’t see this type of fabric used in beachwear or coverups that often but I love it for several reasons. For one thing- all my other coverups are flimsy and just attract wrinkles. When your coverup has been sitting in your beach bag all day and you go to put it on to walk to a restaurant and grab some food, it doesn’t look that great when it’s covered in deep wrinkles. This fabric is heavier than flimsy polyester or cotton and will easily resist wrinkling. I also like that much like a soft towel, this sweaterlike fabric actually absorbs water. Your swimwear is probably going to be soaking wet after getting out of the pool or ocean and we all know the feeling of putting on a cotton t-shirt or polyester coverup and just watching the water soak right through it. This one does a better job of absorbing the water like a wearable towel- but yet it isn’t as cheap or tacky as terrycloth. It is super stylish and chic. In fact- the reason I bought it is because it reminds me of a certain high end designer label that costs thousands for their dresses/ coverups/ etc. The pattern isn’t identical but still creates that same high end look. This coverup looks more like designer resort wear you could wear on a fancy vacation or even just to your local pool. Also- as I’m getting older, I just don’t want to look and feel overexposed in a bathing suit after swimming. This is chic and stylish for all ages and you’ll look classy and sophisticated like you really put a lot of effort into your beachwear or pool day look. It has long sleeves and a longer length but I don’t think I’d get too hot in it because it is semi-sheer. It looks cute paired with beige sandals or flip flops for grabbing food or shopping at boutiques on the beach after a day of laying out. In the photos I have the dress pulled up because I didn’t want to show too much but in real life I would probably pull the front down more so it would fit better with a bathing suit underneath. I actually have a brown bathing suit I think would look awesome with this coverup and can’t wait to wear it. I highly recommend this coverup dress if you want to be the most chic and stylish one at the resort/ beach/ pool party this summer. 5 stars!
