I bought this because of the price. Wasn’t expecting much because it was half the price of the name brands. I used standard size split hardwood I buy by the cord. It fit in there good. As long as you don’t stack wood past the top lip you get a really clean burn with barely any smoke. Probably can fit 5-6 pieces, 3-4 made a great fire. The flames were high enough and the stove produced a lot of heat and light. The whole assembly gets very hot so you’ll need to place it on some sort of crushed stone or pavers base. I got the black one. Looks great and is made out of solid steel.

Cons: wish it had handles to move when not in use. The top “drum” part is not connected to the bottom. So when you move it you have to lift from the bottom.

Pro: when the “drum” comes off it makes it very easy to take the bottom portion over to where you would dispose of the ash.

I definitely recommend this stove. Is great for a quick fire in the yard without the mess or smoke. I live in the country but if I lived in the city with a small yard this would work great. A bag or 2 of convenient store store wood and you’ll be set for the night. Buy a cover if you don’t have storage.

I bought a 5 inch too, it's cute, but it's holds so little wood, it doesn't burn long and is hard to add to, to keep it going.

This 8 inch one is perfect combination of portable, but big enough to actually enjoy the fire a bit. It holds quite a bit of wood, for how little it is, I've been using wood pellets, and cut up pieces of 2x4 and what not I had lying around the garage.

This size is perfect, it's easy to get enough wood in there for a decent fire, and it's large enough that I can add wood to it as it burns low, and keep it going for more than just a single fill and burn, unlike the 5 inch.

I love it for the price, wanted a full size one of these, but have no real use for a large one, I have a small campervan, and this 8 inch one is perfect for a small set up!

These little things work great. I bought one for myself for camping trips, didn't use it first couple trips then the wife and I got stuck in a rainy weekend and I remembered this in the box. I busted it out and fired up some pellets under our tarp shelter and had s'mores. It made a tough weather weekend a lot more enjoyable. It'll burn the first load of pellets for a while, but adding more you get some diminishing returns so at some point you'll need to dump it and start over but if you're burning that much you should probably build a regular fire or get a larger version. When we got home I bought 4 more for gifts and got myself another that's one size larger.

I purchased this so that my wife and I could have bonfires on our deck. I had not committed to a location for an in ground pit yet. The assembly is super easy. There was no issues upon receiving the product. It was very well protected with the styrofoam packaging. The fire isn’t 100% smokeless. You will have some smoke, but it will be considerably less than a regular pit. More like 70%-80% less. It does not come with a cover, but there are many good priced ones you can find. It will require you to wait like 15-20 minutes for the wood to catch and become more “smokeless.” It won’t initially be smokeless. It is not weather proof. So you can’t pour water on the fire to put it out or leave it uncovered in the elements. It can easily be disassembled and stored in its original box when not in use for the season. The fires will burn a lot quicker than before since there is more aeration happening. The only con from this pit is the ring that sits on the top came slightly warped when I received it, and would not sit right when on top. And after just one fire, it completely warped and is now bowed and does not sit right. It isn’t a huge deal, but for the price of the pit I would have expected better quality metal used.
