Editorial Reviews
Review
"The story's rhyme makes it fast-paced, and the colorful illustrations are fun to look at. Younger students will enjoy the humor, and teachers can use the story as a review of classroom rules." --Library Media Connection
"Percy, the self-assured host from Thanksgiving Rules, returns with some guidelines for starting school on the right foot.... Murfin creates a playfully skewed school environment with her wobbly collages and rosy-cheeked students." --Publishers Weekly

- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2018My students loved this book on the first day of school. It's hard to transition from the little kid hall to the big kid hall, but this book let them know a little about me and my class and made them feel more comfortable!
It also helped them understand why we have classroom rules and why they were important!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2012I really enjoyed reading this book to my students, and they enjoyed the voice of the main character schooling them on the rules! The rhyming beat and funny reminders make discussing rules so much fun. Some people may not like that most (99%) of the rules are written in the negative ("Don't do this... don't do that..."). But I felt it made sense since more students will remember what they're NOT supposed to do, as opposed to what they are... and it's told from a child's point of view. Fun read!
