Avocados are tricky
I purchased these food huggers as an alternative to toxic plastic storage bags as I think it is a nice alternative as a safer product for storage. I love the fact that they come in an array of sizes and colors, so they should accommodate several types of fresh produce. I used one on a small avocado, and as you can see from the photo, it was a pretty tight seal, but still left it a little brown on the avocado the next day upon taking it out for use. I know avocados can be tricky and there’s really no way to keep them looking fresh as when you first cut them open, but I do feel that this was better than tossing it in a plastic storage bag and I feel it is a safe alternative. I like the fact that they are reusable, so that is going to save money in future uses!
