On our 24" pins the roll out space is 18". Our 18" pin provides a thickness of 1/4" with a roll out space of 13". Watch the video to see the unique Lovely Rolling Pin in action.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2024I am absolutely delighted with the J.K. Adams Maple Wood French Rolling Pin! As an avid baker, I've used various rolling pins over the years, but this one stands out for its exceptional craftsmanship and performance. The maple wood construction is not only beautiful but also sturdy and smooth, providing excellent control and even pressure when rolling out dough. I particularly love the tapered design, which allows me to maneuver the pin effortlessly, whether I'm working with pizza dough, pie crusts, or cookie dough. The weight and balance of the rolling pin are perfect, making it comfortable to use for extended periods without causing strain. It's also a joy to clean; a quick wipe with a damp cloth is all it needs. The simplicity and elegance of this rolling pin make it a staple in my kitchen, and I find myself reaching for it time and again. If you're looking for a high-quality, versatile rolling pin that combines functionality with timeless beauty, I highly recommend the J.K. Adams Maple Wood French Rolling Pin!"

- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2025I bought this as a gift for a friend, as I have one of them myself. This is a quality French style rolling pin from a very reputable vendor, so if you're considering trying one, you can't go wrong with this one. For one, it's thicker than many others I've seen, something you're gonna want, as it's easier to control with more surface contact with the dough. Just be sure to get some food-grade mineral oil to apply now and then to keep the wood from drying out and splitting. This was a real game changer for me, I would bet it will be for you, too!

I love how this performs, how easy it is to clean, and how long this will last. I love that there are less little crevices for bacteria and such to hide (compared to the pins with multiple pieces) and I especially love the oval nature of this pin which makes it easier to roll out dough more precisely rather than just a totally flat plane that flattens equally across your whole work rather than this where you can pin point and spread dough surgically.
From my reading this wood (maple) is also fantastic for rolling pins due to its durability and small and uniformly spaced pores which allow the pin to pick up and store less food particles and junk.
The size of the pin is also perfect for my use (making pies) as it's not too small and not too large for that purpose.
The price is also very hard to beat. It has zero cons in my book. If this ever breaks or gets lost I'll replace it with the same pin or if this isn't for sale anymore I'll get something exactly like it.
First off... The pin came a bit dry so I put a little bit of mineral oil on it to help it preform better and last longer. I get that this is probably has been sitting for a while so it is not a bad thing, it's expected.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2023My fiancé’s grandmother was a baker. She taught my fiancé a lot about baking. When my mother’s 30+ year old rolling pin broke right before Thanksgiving, my fiancé ordered a J.K. Adams rolling pin and we couldn’t believe what an upgrade it was from my mom’s in every way—roller bearings, longer with a larger diameter, and the quality of the workmanship was phenomenal. The only disadvantage was you can’t bear down with a lot of pressure while rolling. This is fine, she tells me, because for pastry dough you want to massage the dough with the weight of the roller instead of smashing it down.
For Christmas, I decided to get her a French rolling pin so she’d have something she could bear down if she needed. I was thinking pizza dough or bread. Not only did she scream like a lunatic when she opened it, she oiled it and used it Christmas night. I don’t think she’s used the other rolling pin once since she got this. It stays on the countertop next to her Kitchenaid mixer.
She says she still needs the rolling pin for delicate work, but for 90% of what she bakes, this is what she uses now. Her enthusiasm about this pin almost makes me want to learn to bake.
Almost.
Things don’t get babied in her kitchen, yet this rock maple has held up to two months of beating and bruising like a champ. I’m sure if I look close enough I could find some dings, but she’s happy and I’m happy that she’s not complaining about it at all. In fact, she still tells me how much she loves it every time she uses it. I’d call that a big win.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2024It's a bit of a workout to use, but feels much more reliable than rollers that have handles. I've only had it for a little while though so time will tell. I'll also say I used mineral oil on it when I got it in hopes to make it last longer.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2025Really good, and high quality rolling pin. Haven't had any issues with it after 6 months
- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2025The finish is slightly rough. I contacted the manufacturer, and they said it was supposed to be that way and not smooth. It’s very ergonomic and is much better than a standard rolling pin with side handles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect
Pros: Sturdy, nice size and the wood grain is beautiful. Rolling out pie and tart dough is going to be a breeze.
Cons: Came slightly rough to the touch, finishing could have been better. Benefits from arm grease to sand the surface lightly and seal with tiniest bit of mineral oil/beeswax. Wood was dry out of the box, which may have contributed to some minor cracks and cosmetic imperfections. No wood piece is going to be perfect at this price, but with a little work, this piece comes pretty darn close.

Got this for the gf so we could make pizza. Used it twice and lost it. It was a good purchase though. Hope I can find it again . I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have legs so it should be lying around somewhere.
