I bought the single toggle light switch cover in unlacquered brass. I wanted it to age and patina over time.

I’m using it over a turn dial dimmer switch. The plate is thicker than an average plastic plate so we had to adjust the dial with a little rubber tube so it would stick out a bit further. Otherwise the plate sort of blocks the dial from being pushed in all the way to turn the light off and on. But it works!

We are redoing our formal living/dining room in our new (1978 era) house. Our family is too large to use the room as intended so we are turning it into a library/dining room. New shelving all around the walls and a big table in the middle so we can still eat meals together.

I do think the light switch cover was a little pricey ($24) but worth it. I wanted to go with an old timey, unique look for our only visible light switch/outlet cover in this room. I do plan on buying more for other areas of the house over time. It’s very solid and heavy duty.

The light switch plate came with two sets of screws. Two slightly longer and two average size. We used the slightly longer ones since the thickness of this plate cover is more than the typical plastic one.

Overall I’m super happy with how it looks and functions and I’d def recommend if this is the look you want in your home.
