At first glance this books looks to be another simple mediterranean cookbook. Look further! These are simple wonderful dishes that are perfect for eating outside. The food is not only wonderful to eat but impressive to look at. I have made many a last minute dish for guests and each time I am asked "where did you get the recipe". Whether it's the fresh figs with Vin Santo and marscarpone or the little mezes this is a foundational cookbook to keep on your shelf. I love the different sections of to go food and little bites. If you like to actually taste each of your ingredients and enjoy simple meats and fish with a Mediterranean flavor, you will enjoy this book. If you can't go to the Mediterranean, at least you can enjoy the food.
