This is one of the best golf purchases I've made (and that is saying something)! I have compared to other units in every price range including $300+ finders. It is always accurate and, in most cases, I find the flag lock feature to work more quickly on this $80 unit.
Laser range finding technology is not high tech. It's cheap. I find it absolutely absurd that manufacturers get away with some of these prices. But I suppose there is a TON of money in golf and everyone just wants a piece.
Unless you're too proud, just buy this thing. I'm going on my third season with it and it's been put through hell. 200 or so rounds, been dropped numerous times, had moisture get into it...you name it. Still works as well as the day I got it.
