I'll admit that I went into this pretty skeptical of the ice maker, both because of the low price and the lesser-known manufacturer. A family member had a similar countertop ice maker and spoke very highly of it, and I got tired of being the only person in my office to keep refilling the ice trays in the freezer, so I invested in one to automate the process.
Initially, I was very let down. It only made 4-5 pieces of ice at a time, and they were misshapen and thin. Over a month or so, it started producing even less ice, until it eventually stopped altogether. I'm assuming a refrigerant leak, but before it completely conked out, I reached out to the manufacturer for assistance.
After a quick back and forth they sent me a brand new one. I've had it for a month or so, and I'm so impressed by this one that I felt I owed them a review. Now that I have one that functions properly, WOW. 12 ice cube trays being rotated on a daily basis weren't enough to keep up with my coworkers, but this thing spits out ice so fast we'll fill our entire bin in a few hours, even with people actively using it. It's only on for three days a week; if we left it on in perpetuity, we'd be able to swim in all the ice it produces, Scrooge McDuck-style.
I don't review products all that often, but both their response to my support request with the first one and the resulting product were fantastic, and I can't recommend this one enough.
