For general wiring of homes; stores; and shops. Southwire Romex Brand SIMpull NM-B (nonmetallic-sheathed) cable may be used for both exposed and concealed work in normally dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90°C (with ampacity limited to that for 60°C conductors) as specified in the 2011 National Electrical Code. NM-B cable is primarily used in residential wiring as branch circuits for outlets; switches; and other loads. NM-B cable may be run in air voids of masonry block or tile walls where such walls are not wet or damp locations. Voltage rating for NM-B cable is 600 volts.

So happy I looked this up on Amazon! It is so much cheaper here than at any popular home improvement stores. This is great quality and was fairly easy to strip the wires if you have the right tools. I used this to install a power outlet on a 20 volt circuit at home, and it’s been doing its job so far. Make sure to have an outlet tester if you are installing an outlet at home yourself (you can easily get one for a great price on Amazon). Great value for the price!

    Not happy went to run wire and realized it had paper coating that is not flame resistant. Come to find out it’s not CSA approved and now I have to go get different wire. Do not buy this item shouldn’t even be sold in Canada.

    Just had the Ontario Electrical Safety Authority inspect my rough-in wiring for a 110V GFI outlet using this wire. Must be replaced as it does not meet Canadian safety standards. Do not buy for Canadian projects.
