I recently started making biscuits and part of the process is to use cold butter and work it into the flour so that the oven heat will cause the butter to steam (?) and make the final biscuits more flaky. They do come out pretty good, so I guess it's working.
This tool is well made, easy to handle and use, and easy to clean. I believe there was a choice of handle color, so I bought the red to match our stand mixer. Nothing sticks to it, so it's very easy to use and clean. I don't know what else you might use this for, but for blending cold butter into flour it's the best.
