HeatnBond Hem is a roll of iron-on, double-sided adhesive for easily and permanently hemming garments and home décor without any sewing.

Features & Benefits:

  • 3/4 in x 8 yards (19 mm x 7.3 m)
  • Super Weight – for heavier fabrics such as; heavy cotton, denim, suede, wool and corduroy
  • Heat activated
  • Permanent
  • Double-sided adhesive
  • For use on fabric
  • No-sew, simply iron the hem together! Creates a clean hem in seconds!
  • No paper liner or backing paper on this roll.

General Directions

Pre-wash all materials without fabric softeners. Pre-test adhesive on materials before starting project.

  1. Preheat iron to medium heat, no steam.
  2. Turn item inside-out or turn over.
  3. Measure & press new hem into the fabric.
  4. Place Tape inside the new folded hem.
  5. Place iron on fabric and hold with firm pressure for 8 seconds on each section, slightly overlapping, until the entire surface is bonded.
  6. Turn item right side out and iron fabric for additional 3 seconds on each section, slightly overlapping, until the entire surface is bonded.

Tips:

  • Pre-wash all materials (without fabric softener) you will be using prior to fusing
  • Do not touch iron directly to the Hem Tape. Do not iron directly to your ironing board. There is not a protective paper backing and the adhesive will melt to your iron or your ironing board. You must sandwich this adhesive between the two layers of fabric to be fused before applying your iron
  • Machine wash delicate cycle warm, tumble dry low heat or no heat (and in accordance to garment / fabric washing directions). Avoid repeated or excessive ironing to the area after fusing. DO NOT DRY CLEAN

      I love this tape is so easy and clean finish. I use it for my son’s clothes specially sport pants. I wash in the washing machine and put in the dryer and they are still in great condition. I recommend doing more than 8 minutes depending on the material, and re check once it could off to see if there are spots that didn’t glue together, if you check while is still hot it’s not going to work because I realized this only glue together once is totally cold. Super recommend for a nice and easy way to fix your clothes length without sewing or paying so much money.

      I'll admit it - I don't really sew! That said, I pulled a hem out of a dress to make it longer and had to find a way to finish the edge. THIS WAS PERFECT!!! - and sew (sorry!) easy!! The width was a little wider than I needed so I was careful when ironing and had no issues. The excess pulled away cleanly and I used it on other parts of the hem. This is ow a staple I will keep in my laundry room tho have on hand for repairs.

      Best tips: Use water to dampen then use a fabric that’s similar to what you are wanting to use this tape for on top before you iron. I literally had to iron mine for probably about 10 minutes on the highest setting. Then I stopped and when I checked it, it didn’t stick . So I did another 10 minutes and then it stuck fine.
