Yes this is the perfect layering sweater!! I can not say enough great things about it. I bought a 2x because I wanted it really roomy. I wear it all the time, so much so I had to get myself the olive color too so I wouldn't be without it when the maroon one was in the wash! the colors are very pretty and the sweater is so soft. It is nice and warm without being heavy. It has not lost its shape from constant wearing or washing.
I wear it around the house while doing everything from cleaning to cooking to watching TV. I can function doing anything with it on because of the nice long (not annoyingly tight) wrist piece, I can pull it up and it stays put. I can cuff it and it stays put. I can pull it to cover my hands to keep them warm.
I'm able to wrap it around myself to stay cozy watching TV or reading.
Its so pretty I can just grab my car keys and walk out the door with it on to run errands on a cool day.
The batwing sleeves are awesome, I never feel the need to readjust because it falls back or feels like its falling off like almost all cardigans. Its long enough to cover me mid thigh ( I'm 5'2").
It is seriously the BEST sweater ever! So stop thinking about it and buy it!

Warm and Comfy But the Scent is Horrific!
I love this cardigan and I am glad I did not send it back. It is warm and soft and not heavy. I am 5'1 and it goes down to my knees. It washes nicely, but be gentle. I am giving it 4 starts because of the awful smell it had as soon as I took it out of the bag. I Googled what the scent could be and I think it is famtldahyde. Businesses use it for dying clothes and for packaging purposes. To get the scent out, I had to wash it twice and then I let it soak in vinegar water for 6 hours and then I washed it again and then air dried it for 3 days. In the future, I will return any item that has this scent it in. I am sure it is toxic and I do not know if any article of clothing is worth the trouble and potential health hazards.
