I was wanting this sandal for the summer so much! They are beautiful. Which you cannot always say about this style. Comfort is the priority. Having said that, where the straps go across the foot puts pressure on the instep. Not a big deal if you don’t have arthritis. Earlier in life this would be my summer shoe. I hope you can enjoy them this summer.

    I was excited for these sandals. Out of the box, they looked nice and the footbed felt soft as I slid my feet in. Then I tried walking. The pain across the top of my foot was instantaneous. I couldn’t take more than three steps. The strap across the top is hard and inflexible, making the edge of it dig painfully into the top of my foot. No adjusting or “breaking in” would be able to fix this. I have serious doubts the strap is made of leather. The buckle is a thin metal and also comes right to the edge of the strap, so there would be no way to soften the material. I am very disappointed. I could tell from the state of the packaging that the shoes had been returned before, so I guess I wasn’t the only one.
