The UCO 6-Piece Camping Mess Kit includes a plate, bowl, camp cup, and Switch Spork utensil. Ideal for camping, backpacking, scouting, picnics, and meals on-the-go, it also features a bungee tether for securing the kit and its contents. Both the bowl and the plate have rubberized grips on the bottom to ensure that they stay put while eating. The contours of the spork are curved to match the inside of the bowl and plate to make it easy to get every last crumb or drop of soup. For transport, the camp cup nests inside the bowl and plate, which connect with an airtight seal; the stretch tether secures the spork to the kit.

Good, But Cup Measure Marks Invisible
One of the things that sold me on buying the kit & not just, separately, a 2-piece UCO Switch Spork (what I'd been shopping for) was the cup _with graduated measure markings_ on the inside, easily visible in the manufacturer's illustration on amazon. When I got the kit I saw the cup had no such markings and was annoyed, but satisfied with the components otherwise – especially the nesting Switch spork, which has those extra serrated-knife & extension features not otherwise available in similar items. A few days ago I was using the cup for measurement, not for the first time – and the light angled off the inside just right, revealing there ARE graduation marks! It took me awhile to find them again even then; they're almost impossible to see. I took pics of their placement – EZ to show how they're invisible; really, _really_ hard to get the marks to show up on the exact same spot, even with a high-intensity flashlight. You can forget about _ever_ being able to see, in practical use, those marks that extend onto the black, collapsible portion. Also, lint really wants to stick to the foldable part of the cup (which you can see in my 2nd pic) – which is fine if you air dry. Use a towel & you'll end up rinsing it off again.

    We really like this 6 pcs set, all-in-one set. it is durable and rugged and compact. Perfect for backpacking and camping. Only negative comment I have is about the rubber strap. While it is good for keeping the set closed, it is not good for hanging on a laundry line to dry. We ended up buying a separate mesh back and hook to dry it out on a line.

    I used this for camping recently. I was worried about how small it was but I was able to put a whole corn cob on it without too much overhang. The knife was pretty sharp. I forgot how to put the silverware with the container how it was supposed to but ended up making up my own way to do it. I was a tad worried about how strong the cup would be but it was really sturdy. It was a bit hard to pop out and in though. I’m not sure if the string will come out of the bowl and plate completely but it didn’t really get in the way. I ended up not using the bowl but it is a good deepness for soup. I haven’t had to use the hanging string so I can’t speak for that. Its a bit thicker than I thought it would be but still very travel friendly. I only used it for camping but I imagine it would work fairly well for other types of travel. Over all I love them.

    Great set, I took it with me on a hiking trip and I really loved it. I didn't use the mug but I did use the fork/spoon/knife, and the bowl/plate. They are very sturdy and clean very easily. The only negative aspect of this is that it is hard to keep the containers (bowl/plate) closed when not in use. I was planning on making food and putting it into the container to eat on the hike but the elastic wasn't that strong to keep it fully secure.
