The item came packaged well. It took five minutes to assemble. Heavy, smooth wood finish, no blemishes on wood or cushion. I appreciate the straps on the cushion underside. The straps are put through small pre-drilled and finished holes keeping the cushion securely in place. I’m extremely picky and no visible shortcuts were taken in the manufacturing process of this bench. Kudos to the company who has taken the time to produce something of quality compared to just about every other furniture item sold on Amazon. No plastic, no MDF, no thin pine, no faux wood.
