    I really like these bow barrettes! The claps is smooth and doesn't grip hair at all. I put a hair pin on my hair first and then clip the barrette on just above it to prevent any sliding. It is made of metal and appears as though it will last for many years.

    These barrettes are very pretty, a simply shiny metal bow. They close like those barrettes you had as a kid, the bar end goes over a little nub and clicks closed. They're relatively heavy for their size due to being metal, and the bar isn't particularly tight against the back of the barrette, so they don't stay very well in thin, straight hair. They work very well on thick hair and curly hair that gives the teeth on the back of the bow a bit more to grab on to. A great choice if you have thick or curly hair, skip if your hair is fine and straight like mine.
