I tried 3 or 4 total spray adhesives in building a cosplay. I adhered fabric from Joann’s onto EVA Foam to build an armor set. This Elmer’s spray was hands down the best product. Sprays and coats evenly, great adhesion. Real good “tack” right out of the can so there’s no waiting for the glue to setup before using. It’s my go-to, now.
Love the ease of use- works well and adheres well- A bit of smell, but not bad- Not sure how long the adhesion will last- but certainly for awhile no doubt. So far no clogged nozzle. but i did forget to hold can upside down and spray- so not sure what it will be like next time i use it- but should be able to clean nozzle easily enough with a cleaner if it does clog-
For me this was the case: If you wait the recommended amount of time on the bottle, it just wont stick appropriately to the wall. I had to spray and then immediately adhere the foam panels to the wall. However, these are slightly heavier than photo or construction paper.
For a better 'tack' of a repositionable spray glue, try the Scotch brand.
Elmer's E451 Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive, Over time my one can continued to spray after multiple uses. I cannot say that about other big brand name the clogged and would not spray after the first use only 5 days earlier. Even trying to clean nozzle. It may sound petty but it really aggravates me to buy a spray can to have it only spray once and then thrown as hard as possible across the garage to whatever innocent object it might hit.
Elmers no problem at all. I have used this same can probably 7 times now for different projects. It sprays without problem and sprays nice even misting without sputters and goobers. It adheres just as good as other brands.
I have used this adhesive for years and it is my go to when I need to attach some large item and make sure it is going to stay put. Yes, it is wise to plan for over spray when you use it, it is a spray after all. If you need a general adhesive to use for large item, this is the product you should check out.
