I ordered this PS5 Slim as NEW directly from the PlayStation store, shipped by Amazon via Prime. It came next day. The outer Amazon packaging was fine. However the outer portion of the PS5 seal was broken (see pic). The items inside all seemed intact and new, with the PS5 skin still having the blue tape and all cords seemingly untouched and accounted for. I verified that the serial number of the console matched the box, and called Sony to verify it had no prior activation of the 1 year warranty - thus suggesting it was used. To their knowledge they stated it seems new. So at BEST this was poor shipping and handling resulting in the external seal being broken. At worst this is a used product cleverly disguised. I’ll report back later but as of now, just 1 day of use, no issues or hiccups. So will give 4/5 for now.

One exception though. My reccomendation to Amazon prime is to wrap the outside box so know one can see what you have. Even though the original ps5 box is splendidly package. But it arrived in it's original box, and everyone could see it was a ps5 console. Had It been delivered to my apartment, it would've gone in seconds. So please Amazon prime wrap the Outer box to conceal the contents, to prevent theft.
