You need more than one especially if you have a gnat prone environment.
I grow Dahlias inside starting in February and they cannot go outside until it is much warmer. Their tubers are prone to gnats and when I saw a couple flies I panicked and did not want my home infested. I tested this and a few other options. This is by far my favorite and I will be buying next season!! If I could give it more stars I would.

1st step in getting rid of plant gnats. 2nd step is using Mosquito bit water. Worked great. I struggled a bit getting the paper off the sticky part at first but then I figured out to lift the paper slightly on the sides before pulling it from the middle. In just a few hours while I was at work a lot of flies had gotten stuck. The stickiness is fantastic! My cat got too close and walked around for over an hour with the trap on her side until I peeled it off.
