These bowls are well worth their price. I make a lot of custards, and they need to be cooled down quickly so they don't curdle. I asked for these bowls for my birthday and I couldn't be happier. Copper naturally moves heat quickly, so my custards don't have the chance to curdle anymore. As far as maintenance goes, copper can be finicky, it's just the nature of the material. But Cuisinart included a handy little pamphlet to tell you how to keep them looking new. #1- do not put them in the dishwasher. #2- a bit of an acidic scrub will bring their shine back #3- scratches just mean you're using them, they'll have a lived in look. #4- but most importantly DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE DISHWASHER and then come on here leaving a review that they're a bad product. They are what they are and require a bit more maintenance than your average bowl. But dang, don't knock it because you don't understand it. If you want real copper bowls and are willing to put the work on (or just accept them getting their patina), these are perfect. If you want a copper colored bowl because its pretty, then don't waste your money, just buy a coated steel bowl.
These are truly exquisite bowls! I love them! They are solid copper, have a nice weight to them, and the sizes are just perfect, unless you’re cooking for a huge army. If you’re on the fence about these please don’t be.. push that sold button and enjoy them
Had for a day and was cooking meat (maybe I’m not supposed to put raw meat in a copper mixing bowl?) idk but as soon as I went to wash the pot a few minutes later, it left this weird residue alongside the mixing bowl. I don’t honestly mind because no one sees the inside and I love when copper starts to patina over time so when that happens to the outside I won’t mind. They function really well and look good in my open shelving too. I’m all about it but that was a weird effect that happened to just one of the bowls so quickly.
Agree with others' 5 star reviews. Plus packaged very well too, better than some glassware I've bought. Printed material says printed in China. (Doesn't say where bowls are made.) I'm pleased. Hope you will be too.
I like the thickness and weight. The bowls feel strong and sturdy. The copper is only a thin layer the outer faces, but for the price it is what I expected.
This is a nicely weighted, loop handled, flat bottomed set of copper mixing bowls and are easy to keep a shiny finish for display. They are insulative and sturdy.
I love copper and these don't disappoint. It's very hard to find copper pots with wall hangers attached. These have them. A bonus is the hanger makes the pot easy to grab when one is whisking egg whites. They are so pretty!
