After 20+ years of yeoman's duties, I had to replace my silicon oven mitts. Most I saw had far too much cloth at the wrist and were too short. For taking my dutch ovens out I would have charred/destroyed them in a week.

These are long and in two uses have been very comfortable to use. There is a small band of cloth but it's far enough up my forearm that It isn't part of the mitt.
