There is sufficient padding, and the buckles are adjustable. The buckles are also silver, which i prefer, but was expecting gold(?) I would recommend them if you are in the market!

    I really like these sandals and find them very comfortable. I got them towards the end of summer but feel like they will hold up. The one downside is the foot bed is also suede which can be slippery at times - but maybe with more wear they will break in more. I love the look of the Birkenstock but for way less.
