Perfect Sauna option for what I wanted and needed!

Perfect Sauna option for what I wanted and needed!
I had owned a stand-alone FAR infrared (cedar) sauna for several years. It got almost daily use in my home, and lasted for about 7 years... until the day that it didn't. It was a real bummer when 2 of the heaters went out and couldn't be replaced or fixed. Coincidentally, we would be moving soon, and wouldn't have room for a large cedar unit in our new house. So for about 4 years I did without. 😔 Then - last year - i disovered Sauna Tents! 😁👍 Last year I bought a small, cheap tent, just to try it out. I didn't think I'd like my head sticking out, though; my face and scalp not getting the same benefit my body would be getting. Still, it was worth a try. Turned out, I really enjoyed this sauna-tent idea! The heat was great! And that old feeling I had grown to love - being sweat soaked, my skin's pores completely purged, and my muscles totally pliable and wrung out - I was able to get in this tent! However, I became concerned about high EMFs (essentially getting 'microwaved) and I didn't like that my head and face weren't in the sauna. In my old cedar unit, my face was always so soft - my pores tight - after several days in a row of long sauna use. I wanted to find something I could fit my entire 5'2" frame into - head and all. I began my search and found the Durherm Sauna Tent. It had excellent reviews, and i read that some people were able to sit their whole body in them! PLUS, it had the lowest EMFs I could find for a price that I could afford. It took me a little while to save $ for it, but I received it a couple of weeks ago and have been in it (for at least 40-45 mins) nearly every day since it arrived. I tried sitting on the floor crosslegged like several reviewers mentioned. But I found my back wasn't comfortable, and my legs felt cramped. After much trial and error (pillows, stacked towels, a short wooden stool), I ended up finding a back-rest SEAT used for sitting on bleachers (Walmart for $6 on sale). I don't show my complete set up in the picture posted, but what I do is wrap a bed pillow in a beach towel for the seat, and I lay another beach towel over the whole thing, to guard against hot metal on the chair. I zip the tent almost all the way up, place a long, thin, heavy cushion (what I use when working out on the floor) on the top to block the opening better, and then I clip the very top flaps of the zippered pieces open a smidge, so that i can see out of the little peep-hole I'd created. Then i grab my water, put on a good program (am currently watching a Jane Eyre series) and watch TV while I roast. I love it! I love that I can also fold the whole thing up (after it's cooled) and in mere minutes stow it away in the closet. My ONLY "con" so far is that I feel when I crank it up to 140 (the highest setting), i dont *think* it's really reaching 140 degrees. I need to test that. I'm also a little wary that after a few months of use that, like others have stated, it will stop working. But I'm gonna try and not jinx myself. One BIG Pro - the low EMFs. I haven't measured it myself, but the review of the gal doing so won me over. Overall a really good investment. Not what I was used to using, but a reasonably priced option that's also a great space saver! I'm so happy I bought it!

I got this to support detoxification, and am emf and chemically sensitive. I set towels in the bottom, remove the chair, and sit cross legged facing the back, inside the unit. I am 5'8" and fit fine cross legged. The interior support dowel does a good job making a stiff roof so you arent sweating on any non washable surfaces. I set the timer for 30min at 150,and sit in it after a couple minutes of warm up. I start sweating by 20 min and the last 10 minutes I see a lot of sweating (normally not a good sweat-er). After 2 weeks of daily use I have been able to reduce my time to 25 min with the same effects. I sit in it as it cools down bcs the sweat keeps pouring. My only critique is that its hard to not get sweat on the unit when coming out of the zipper (even after toweling off inside of it). I wish the flaps opened wider or had a washable panel on the front. I like taking care of my things. I dont get my typical emf efects sitting in there. I dont have a reader but the proof is how I feel, which is great. I love the detoxing I have had since starting. I love that I can do this in my home and close to a shower and not at a spa. I dont notice any chemical smells. I had an infrared hemlock sauna in the past and prefer this tent, as the in home wood sauna developed a smell afyer a year that hurt my liver and prevented me from using it. If this ever develops a smell I will toss it without stress of the huge financial loss or passing thr buck via reselling. Yes I know this unit is expensive but it is pretty awesome quality, and the healing from effective detoxing means you have capacity to earn more with improved health and mental clarity. So maybe it will be the best thing you spent your money on? I would recommend this unit if you are researching and would fit inside it.

After extensive research for a portable infrared sauna unit, I finally settled on this model. The unit arrived promptly and was easy to assemble. The frames are already in place so there was very little to put together. I turned the unit on as instructed, everything worked well. I was able to have my first sauna session within 15 minutes of taking it out of the box (it would have less time had I not bothered to inspect the unit carefully), and within 5 minutes of turning it on. The chair was a foldable one that unfolded easily. I am 5 ft 9 in and weigh 155 lbs. The chair was the right size for me and the height was just right for my neck to be around the terrycloth collar. I left the timer on 30 minutes at the preset 133 degrees. I started to sweat after 20 minutes but was not drenched at the end of 30 min. I was able to hold a book through the arm openings and rest my arms on the horizontal bar that props up the sauna front. There is also room next to the chair for a towel and a box of Kleenex. My feet rested comfortably on the foot pad provided. I also double-checked the emf readings with my Trifield meter. From where I sit, all readings are below 0.2mG. I am able to place this unit in my bedroom comfortably. I highly recommend this product.

After about 2 dozen use in 17 months, the unit is now dead. It appears something shorted out inside causing my
power strip ckt breaker to trip. I can reset the ckt breaker, but unit still won't turn on. As far as I can tell, there
are no built in ckt breaker.. It was a great disappointment because when it was working, it was efficient and heated up within minutes.
