This avocado slicer is absolutely amazing — we use it all the time and honestly don’t know how we lived without it before! It makes slicing, pitting, and scooping so quick and easy, and it’s way safer than using a knife. We were so impressed, we ended up buying more to give to friends and family, and everyone loves it just as much as we do. Five Star Convenience
I recently added the Oxo 3-1 Avocado Slicer to my kitchen gadgets, and it has quickly become a favorite. This tool is fantastic because it handles every step of preparing an avocado: splitting, pitting, and slicing. The stainless steel pitter is incredibly efficient, removing the pit with a single twist. I love that I can get perfectly sliced avocado pieces with minimal effort, and the comfortable non-slip grip makes it easy to handle even when my hands are a bit slippery. One thing to note is that the avocado needs to be ripe for the tool to work best. When it is, the slicer lifts the fruit out in seven perfect pieces every time. Cleaning up is a breeze since it's top-rack dishwasher safe. It feels very durable, and I can see it lasting a long time in my kitchen. Overall, I highly recommend this Avocado Slicer for anyone who loves avocados as much as I do.

Slicing the avocado and removing the pit - fantastic! Both work wonders, so I am happy about it. But the plastic part that is supposed to remove the avocado half from the peel and slice it does not work at all, unless the avocado is so far from ripe it's not that great to eat. Photo shows to the left the avocado removed and sliced with the tool - you can see it gets mushy and unappealing - on the right, two halves removed with a spoon and sliced with a knife. So, basically the tool would be perfect either if the plastic cutter would have been absent, or if it had metal little blades instead of plastic to slice through the flesh.
Two features work well, one does not at all

Good little tool but not entirely necessary!
Very easy to use but only when the avocado is definitely ripe enough! The part you use to scrape the avocado gets very congealed so I usually end up using the slicer and the blade to remove the seed then just use a spoon for the rest instead!
