I used the ribbon to wrap gifts. I got the 1 inch thickness. It worked perfectly well, the ribbon material is sturdy, thick, and shiny, perfect for making bows, too. I’d say that for small packages (like small children’s books), the 1 inch ribbon is a bit wide, as it covers a sizeable portion of the package, but for larger packages the 1 inch is perfect. It looks good even on small packages, anyway.

I needed some red ribbon to complete a project. Usually when you buy ribbon, it comes in a small hank with some paper to hold it together, listing the other vital information or it comes wound on a spool with a large diameter core (dollar store or “value” product at a craft store) and you don’t actually get very much.
This product lists how much ribbon, but you unless you get out one of those tape measures that Real Estate Agents used to use to measure homes, you don’t actually get the full impact of how much ribbon 100 yards is…
The ribbon is 3/8” and is satin finish on both sides and the core it is wound around is very small, compared to the cardboard disks on either side that hold the ribbon in a neat coil. If you lift up the edge of the cardboard disks and look, the ribbon goes all the way to the little plastic core.
This is good value and I won’t need red ribbon for a long time…
