I bought these to hang my chicken feeder and waterer and I was a little skeptical if they could support the weight, but they are great!! They have been very sturdy even through two massive rainfalls and they look so cute!! I was trying to keep the girls food and water off the ground so dirt didn’t get kicked into it and these were a perfect (plus cost effective) solution. I love how they are adjustable, too. That gives such versatility to them!
I highly recommend these cuties for any garden!

I got this set of 4 to add to the two hooks my husband bought earlier on Amazon. The light goldfinch thistle seed feeder and even a heavier metal "squirrel-proof" feeder hang from them without problem. And even our visiting deer (twin fawns & their mama) haven't pushed them around, let alone over. (Who knew deer ate bird seed?! Today I replaced the tube feeder with the house bird feeder to discourage the deer, because I fear for their safety.)
The hooks are 100% metal & tough, but still light weight, which I appreciate. I only got them this Spring, but they'll survive snow & winter just fine.
I have 2 other hooks in our front yard (heavy plastic log cabin bird feeder & light cedar feeder) & they're all holding up great. Also, the ends are long enough that though I only got several in only half way (I'm not strong) they still stand up fine!
I price compared before I bought these, and this set was the best deal for the heighth and price. Granted, squirrels can climb up, but they also climb the 78" or 92" hooks my husband bought! So we buy peanuts, too, & I now keep one feeder low for the squirrels.
For bird & animal lovers: I read a study that said if squirrels are eating in an area, then birds and other wildlife take their cues that it's safe to join in, too. We have lots of squirrels but we also have goldfinches, house finches, nuthatches, chickadees, & deer, so this seems to be the case.
We love these shepherd hooks--with them we've created a wonderful feeding station for half the wildlife in Pullman!
