Despite information to the contrary from Alessi
This model actually DOES exist in a 110V version! It arrived yesterday; I followed the prep instructions, and it's important to do so. I initially thought that being 110V it would take longer than 220V to heat water to boiling, but it's equal. I first saw this in Harrods London; I contacted Alessi and their reply was that it isn't available in a 110V US version! Not true! The seller answered my question about voltage; I placed the order and it arrived in record time.

Water is boiling inside of a plastic body, there is no stainless steel inside. For $100 a kettle I expect it to be made out of ceramic. Design is fantastic except a clear plastic on/off button which looks like an after thought.
