Comfortable shoes but for some reason after 3.5 months, one pair had the wires poke through on the back. I think it should be more insulated. This is much more short lived than all of our other shoes.

    I work on my feet for 12 hours a day. These shoes have been a blessing. They are so comfortable that I dont notice that I am even working because I dont have the foot pain I once had. It also gives you a couple inches of height if you are short. They arent slip resistant but I still use them in wet areas of my job. Worth every penny

    Listing title and description state product is "women's" shoe. I was surprised when the shipping notification was for "men's", and when it arrived the product received was a men's shoe that did not fit. Returned the product and bought directly from Hoka online.
    The actual shoe is great, the ample cushion and support kept my feet comfortable through my long shifts walking on concrete floors.
    However the toe box is rather narrow. I don't have wide feet but the lack of room and narrown fit in the toe box after hours on my feet resulted in a corn on each pinky toe.

    Everyone recommended these to me for long distance walking. I wore them for about an hour but they didn’t sit evenly, rubbing the insides of my heels. Plenty of toe room but the heels didn’t fit right so I returned them.

    Chi corre da un po', sa che lo stesso modello di scarpa da running può essere eccezionale o fastidiosa a seconda del runner di turno. Per questo motivo descrivo il contesto, in modo da non essere fuorviante per chi ha aspettative differenti dalle mie.
    Sono un runner di 170 cm, 67-69 kg d'estate, 70-72 inverno, brevilineo con poca massa grassa, non più giovane ma sempre allenato, con doti di resistenza ma non di velocità. Corro non per i tempi ma per preparazione ad altre attività, 4 uscite alla settimana, tre da 10 Km circa con tecniche a rotazione e un lungo da 15-18 km in inverno, d'estate allungo di un quarto.
    Il lungo invernale è quello che fino ad oggi mi ha dato qualche problema. Essendo di Genova, d'estate corro sul lungomare e d'inverno mi alleno sulle colline alle spalle della città. Partendo da casa, in pochi minuti si sale a 7-800 m con percorsi che variano frequentemente in pendenza e difficoltà. Asfalto, sterrato, creuze, scale, acciottolati, tutto "bricchi e fossi" come si dice da noi. La mia difficoltà è nella discesa, nei tratti più ripidi, specie nel bosco, quando il piede è stanco e aumenta la pronazione. I sentieri sono umidi e sporchi, con rocce e radici sporgenti, le creuze ripide e dissestate, le scalinate fantasiose e il rischio di storta o infortunio notevole. Il corpo arretra istintivamente, lo sguardo è sul terreno per evitare gli ostacoli, la velocità è controllata e il cuore diminuisce la frequenza, le ginocchia soffrono e soprattutto le dita dei piedi toccano in punta e dolgono.
    Ora la scarpa: leggendo un po' in giro ho individuato la Bondi di Hoka e ho voluto provarla. Messa ai piedi, subito sembra di avere due ferri da stiro, non per il peso, confrontabile ad altri modelli, ma per l'ingombro. Correndo però non si sente fastidio alcuno, anzi. Il (mio) piede è ben protetto e fasciato e non scivola in avanti, anche (magia!) in ripida discesa. L'ammortizzazione è elevatissima, la suola larga schiaccia rami, sassi, buche, tutto quello che trova, con poco o nessun ritorno, come se si corresse sempre su un fondo sintetico un po' ondulato ma non dissestato.
    Ora sono circa quattro mesi che la uso, destinandola solo al lungo misto e ruotando altri modelli negli altri allenamenti. Cosa è cambiato? Adesso il ritorno del lungo è allenante e soprattutto piacevole. Senza la preoccupazione dell'infortunio la falcata è più sicura e ampia, le spalle si allargano, portare il peso in avanti e spingere è naturale, il cuore alza il ritmo, piedi e ginocchia festeggiano e lo sguardo può puntare all'orizzonte, dove il blu incontra il blu. E gli occhi possono godere dello skyline e riempirsi di mare.
