After housesitting for friends last year for a couple of months, I realized how much I absolutely loved their cowhide rug that they had in their dining room and needed one of my own! I waited some time and kept perusing Amazon for a good deal on one, and I finally went with this Sunshine Cowhide. It's been awesome! I was able to immediately use it without having to air it out, and it fits in my space perfectly. I haven't had to use the vacuum on it yet but I don't anticipate any issues when it comes to keeping it clean, especially because I went with the darker option. I'm excited to add this piece to my decorative collection, and look forward to using it in years to come.

Let me just say that I love the rug it look black on camera but it is chocolate brown it go perfect with my animal print living room I had one with light brown but it messed up due to having dogs and the weather raining tracking up my rug so I started looking for another one and boy did I find one hat goes off to this seller I'm so happy with this rug it's beautiful and top quality

I had a time crunch and was on the hunt for a nice cost effective cowhide rug and found exactly that. Knowing cowhides can run a pretty penny I was pleasantly surprised to find this one. It’s large, the color was a beautiful deep brown and it was quite soft. If you know cow hide you know there can always be discrepancies in the way the hair lays is certain spots; including less hair around the legs or something. If that bothers you invest in a more expensive cowhide because there were a few areas with less hair. This was used for a man’s giant walk in closet so In my opinion it just made it feel authentic and rustic lol
Quickly note: vacuum or sweep it when you get it. It’s an animal so yes there could be something on the hair and yes it can shed. Shake it out outside and enjoy the rug 😅.
If that bothers you get a completely fake rug and continue on.
