    Don't judge my first attempt at embroidery 😂 But seriously, not enough thread at all! Also the thread is very thick or the design is printed too small, either way, it's impossible to get the fine details shown in the picture/guide. Otherwise fun little beginner kit, comes with a seam ripper and a cure needle threader thingy that unfortunately broke on the first use. I fixed it with some nail glue but I don't dare pull it by the handle again.

      Luckily, after reading many reviews, my kit came with everything it was supposed to. This was my first project and it was fairly easy to do, but I think the instructions were made in a different language than English and were roughly translated. This caused some confusion (for example it said “take one strands to fold is two strands, and take two strands to fold is four strands”. On top of this, the instructions then called for 3 strands for some of it, obviously you can’t fold over any number of strands to get three, so I had to look up how to thread a needle with three strands.) there were a few other things I had to look up as well, the stitch instructions are just words (again, not in correct English) and pictures, . But, overall, I enjoyed the experience and this was my first project. I did have a bit of trouble adding some details that are supposed to be on top of stitches you have made, and you cover up most of the guide with those stitches so I kind of had to guess where to put the stitches on top of what I already embroidered. I also had to look up how you are supposed to thread things the same way (ie off you are crossing stitches to make an “x” you want to always do it one way, ie do the right side of the x under the left side and don’t switch so that sometimes the right-most stitch is under instead of on top, if that makes sense). Bottom line, I figured it out and enjoyed it. I would recommend this to someone that is either experienced or is willing to take the extra 10 minutes it took me to look up online how to do a few things. If you don’t want to do that then this might not be the best first embroidery project for you.

      I truly loved everything about this set of three different designs. Each was packaged separately, all arrived in a large ziploc bag, which is convenient for gifting or sharing. I appreciated only receiving one hoop in this set, as well as that each design had clear directions, the threads separated neatly and was accompanied with several needles.
      It’s perfect for those new to needlepoint or who might be picking up the craft anew. Not too challenging, but a nice variety of different types of stitches are involved with each pattern, which makes it (for me) more engaging & fun. I highly recommend this!!

      The kits are well organized, the instructions are clear, and the patterns are very cute. The colors are unpredictable though—the one I started with was supposed to include a light brown for the tabby cat’s stripes and face, but instead it had a nearly-black green. It also didn’t include enough gray or black for the pattern. Sourcing more black was easy, but I couldn’t find a match for the gray across several different brands at a local craft store. You get what you pay for as far as kit and color accuracy.
