I bought this based on a certain cooking TV show review, and normally they seem to recommend the most expensive items tested but this time they didn't. This thing rocks. It has super strong suction cup feet which are needed since while you are cranking the handle to turn the vegetable you want this thing to stay in one place. It has more than enough cutting plates that all trim the vegetables into different shapes, it is easy to clean and it comes with a stiff bristled brush for you to remove any scraps of vegetable that might stick to the blades. You never have to get your fingers near the sharp blades and it is easy and safe to remove the blade plates. I first tried a hand held spiralizer that sucked and for a long time just considered this spiralizing thing a fad that would go away. But the more I move to a veggie centric diet the more I wanted to be able to change up how I prepared vegetables. The base unit holds 2 plates and they give you a covered container that holds the others, I keep the 2 I use the most in the base. Yes it is another item I have to find room for in a cabinet but I use it more than other appliances. It doesn't require electricity and it is easy to clean, I don't put it in the dishwasher. I can cut carrots for slaw, salads or soups. I don't like hard chunks of carrots but you can do thin ribbons of carrots that are easier on your teeth. I have done sweet potatoes for the air fryer. I think it would work well for medium sized beets, apples, zucchini and other hard vegetables. The price is fair enough to justify trying it if you want to increase the chance of you eating more vegetables.

I bought the 6-Blade Spiralizer version. The suction cups work well, though I do recommend pressing it up against something raised, like a chopping board to keep it stable while you cut your vegetables. The Spiralizer can store 3 blades total on the machine. The 6 piece comes with a plastic storage box to put your extra blades that you aren't using. Switching blades is really easy. Just pull the old one and insert the new one. The plastic material on the slicer is really glossy and smooth. The mechanical action of the slicer slides easily and stays stable. It doesn't really hold onto to food or liquids so a quick rinse is all you really need to clean the machine after use.

I've also bought and used the Benriner spiral cutter. There are a few caveats that this cutter has in comparison to the benriner. The vegetables have to be fairly centered/straight or else it may have trouble staying on. Softer vegetables sometimes have trouble staying up as the cutting face is horizontal rather than vertical. The Paderno slicer also leaves a small cylinder of material behind which is kind of annoying if you don't like random odd shaped pieces. Overall, I do like the Paderno slicer over the Benriner.

    Pros:
    Easy to use
    Easy to change blades
    Easy to clean
    Stable

    Cons:
Vegetables have to be fairly straight and centered
    Leaves non-spiralized material behind
Sometimes softer vegetables have issues staying up/cutting

I've used this 5-6 times and plan to continue. I got a spiralizer cookbook, otherwise I wouldn't know how to use this tool effectively. There are 6 blades - too many I think since several are just slim/thicker versions. None of the blades are labelled so there's no quick reference to distinguish them. And the outside of the box has the only pictures/reference to clarify the different blades. Not a helpful place after you've unpacked the tool! I took a single zucchini and used every blade to understand the differences. Also, it takes a bit of doing to "un-snap" the different blades. I found a chopstick a useful tool to push on the release tabs. Once I figured out to push the four corners to engage the suction cups, and use the release tabs, it got easier. With that out of the way, I love the tool. It's fun too use. A bit messy since there's no food "catcher", but I catch the results in a paper plate. For the price, this is a great device and far superior to my handheld one.

I've tried other veggie spiralizers and this is the best I have used in this price point. The ring on the blade side that cuts the core out of the veggies gives it a lot of support on the front end, and the large number of teeth on the rear end will keep your veggies in place without worrying about them slipping out. It also leaves a very small uncut end piece compared to other similar products. Comes with a variety of blades, with a spot to hold 2 of them in the unit, and comes with a little case for the rest. Would totally recommend to someone looking for a healthy dietary replacement for pasta.

They thought of everything. Several different shaving options so you get the perfect sized pasta? Amazing. After turning 7 zucchini into angel hair pasta in one sitting, I can't think of a negative thing about this. It works so well and fast. Perfect way to eat more veggies and less carbs/wheat. I made stir fry with zucchini noodles made by this and my family barely noticed the difference. Give it a try!

Unless you have the different blades memorized, it is confusing to know which blade does what. It does not spiral all the cucumber. Some of it gets wasted when trying to use the spiral. I do not recommend this product.

This is actually an imported product. The quality of plastic and blades is very nice and the spirals are uniform and reliable. We are really enjoying the new way of eating vegetables. The wastage is minimal and cleaning is relatively easy. Storage doesn't take much space.

Amazed that I ordered on Thursday morning and it was delivered from US to Singapore on Monday evening. Tried out the product and it worked very well. Base suction on counter top is good. Easy to change out the different blades. Can start making sweet potato and zucchini noodles for a healthier diet.

5.0 out of 5 stars I didn't think I'd like eating zucchini every night but now I'm obsessed
Reviewed in Canada on August 4, 2021
Basically, I bought this because I needed to find something to do with all the zucchini I'd planted. I was a bit skeptical about making noodles with it, but I made pasta sauce with lemon, feta, tomatoes, nutritional yeast and swiss chard this evening and it was honestly better than actual spaghetti. The spiralizer itself was easy enough to set up, seems solid, works fine. It took me a second to figure out how to get the attachments to make noodles but eventually got it working. The noodles can get really really long but it's kind of satisfying. I haven't used any of the other attachments yet but I'm pretty sure the ricer will be fun to test out on cauliflower, it just hasn't ripened yet. Overall I'd recommend this product if you have too much zucchini and don't know what to do with it all, or if you can't eat pasta and need an alternative.

5.0 out of 5 stars Flexible, easy to use and not hard to clean
Reviewed in Australia on July 17, 2019
The product is well put together (solid, for what it is), and I've used for spiralising relatively hard vegetables like sweet potato and beetroot and it's done the job with no trouble at all. Also fairly easy to clean for something that's got so many nooks and crannies, which is something I was impressed by. The range of available blades gives it a good range of flexibility in terms of how things are spiralised, allowing for a good variety of presentation options for salads and the like.
