Great skirt after a bit of work
Wonderful heavy fabric feels high quality. After reading other reviews I wasn't sure if my normal large would fit so also ordered an extra large just in case with plans of returning the worse fitting one. I'm glad I did because I could barely get the large zipped whereas the XL fit perfectly. When it arrived it was quite wrinkled and the pleats were barely marked but it looks great after pressing with a steam iron.

    Amazon suggested I order a small so I got XS and S to try, both were really big. The fabric is good quality and thick, so it looks a little bulky.

    I'm 5'2 and they are an okay length. I just don't like how bulky and loose the waist is. My waist is 25" and my hips are 38" so it might just be my body type that made it look awkward.

    Not stretchy, this is a thick wool-like material. Not sure what it is, I didn't really look.

    Sizing is off: like, waaay off. I ordered a size large, the skirt I received is labeled as a size large; according the Amazon size chart, a women's size large measures 30.5-32" at the waist and 41-42.5" at the hip. At the top of the waistband, this skirt measures ~29" across and below the waistband it measures ~32", if the pleats are spread it could measure to 36" at the hip, but at that point it looks nothing like the way it's pictured on the model. Additionally, the material is a thick wool/wool blend (as stated in description) and my measurements were taken from the outside of the skirt, not the inside. There is also the issue of the zipper, which zips down about four inches (not the entire waistband), and doesn't provide much wiggle-room to get into the skirt, if such a thing were even possible given that the widest point is a whole three inches bigger than the smallest.

    Assuming this sizing is consistent across all sizes, I would recommend sizing up at least two sizes, possibly three, if you want it to fit like on the model. Fwiw, the label has Chinese on it and the package was delivered from China, so that explains the sizing but it would be helpful if the seller was at least more transparent about that (or provided garment measurements in the description) so I could have saved my time and money by not buying something that would never have fit the person I was buying it for.

    This is a GREAT skirt! I was a little skeptical because I've been burned more than a few times purchasing unknown brands on Amazon, but this skirt didn't just meet my expectations, it exceeded them. In the past when I've ordered items that I ended up returning, the material was awful, cheap-feeling, and didn't match the picture, but this skirt looks JUST LIKE THE PICTURE, and the material is nice and thick, and lined at the top. It has a side-zipper (invisible), but no hook. I ordered a size up just to be safe (as Asian-sizing is generally much smaller - I ordered a large), but I should have ordered a medium as the sizing seems to be American-sizing. So, order the size you are, don't order up or down. The pleats lie just as they do in the picture, and thankfully it's not a mini-skirt: it falls a little above mid-thigh, which is perfect in my opinion. Really, if you're on the fence about this little skirt, I'm telling you to order. (And no, I did NOT receive this product for free or reduced price for my "honest" opinion. I hate those reviews.)
