I've been using Southworth planners for years, and they don't disappoint. My favorite things about this planner are that it is quality made (thick covers, solid spirals, and weighty paper, tabs and elastic all stay in place), it opens to lay flat or nest behind for itself for easy notetaking, the size fits in a large purse or bag but is still adequate for writing, it has monthly overviews and weekly note sections, tabs make for quick reference, a pocket in back holds miscellaneous papers, the elastic holds it all in check, and it's very reasonably priced. My suggested improvement would be a loop to hold a writing utensil, but as you can see in pic, I tuck a mechanical pencil with a clip across the "gutter" created between covers with the clip secured to the elastic, and voila! The brand's patterns do appear to get more limited each year, and I could only find one this size for 2025, but at least the design is decent; the gold foil is a fun accent. This year the planner also came with some stickers in back to use for calendaring, but I never really get into those, because my schedule changes too much (hence the pencil instead of pen — and the paper does not fall apart or get smudgy when erasing). It has goals and other motivational and planning stuff at the beginning of each month, too, for those who find it helpful. I looked at a billion planners, and this one checked off my requirements without needing to add financial planning to afford it. Win!
