I don't like a big block of knives sitting on my countertop, but hated the hassle of opening up a lower cupboard, and pulling out the sliding drawer to withdraw a knife from the knife-block. What to do???
I had a nice little spot on the side of one of my kitchen-cabinets (out of view from most angles) and decided to buy this short (10") knife magnet to keep knives "hidden" but out in the open for easy access. Why didn't I do this sooner???
I am so completely happy with this purchase! The magnet mounts easily with either double-sided sticky tape (provided) or screws (also provided). I used the sticky tape and in works magnificently well.
I hung 5 of my most-used knives - all the way from my big chef knife and serrated bread knife to my small paring knife. The sticky tape is strong enough to keep the magnet securely in place on the side of the cabinet and magnet is strong enough to keep the knives security in place... but also releases knives easily when I go to use one.
One of the best purchases I've ever made.
