    Purchased these in order to conduct a science experiment for children involving expanding gases.

    Not much to say about what the item is, as it clearly is what it states it is. If you're using it to store rolls of film or as small change holders, it'll do the job.

    If you're using them as we were, to temporarily contain gases before the container body pops off as a mini rocket, you'll get about a 50-75% success rate. Even though the lids were fully closed, some of them allowed the water and gas bubbles to escape at a rate that didn't allow the experiment to be successful. Still enjoyable to try and you haven't spent a fortune to make it happen. The majority that did work as intended resulted in a satisfactory 10 foot rocket shot and "POP" sound.

However for storing items that you need on a regular basis, (for me i wanted them to store batteries and/or vitamins for travel), be prepared to pry the bottles open.
