I love the look and quality of these pie weights and the container. I was looking for something to replace my bag of pennies (seemed kind of gross) or beans (after a few times they start to disintegrate). I decided to give these a try after viewing the video. I figured any company that took that much time to make a useful video and not just one full of sales “bling” likely made a good product as well. I have not been disappointed. The product arrived quickly and undamaged. The container is sturdy, compact and fits in my cabinet easily. It is attractive enough to set out on the counter if you like things sitting out. The air hole on the top allows them to vent so they don't get moldy. There is also a small instruction booklet that can be stored right in the container along with the weights. I made a quiche in a 9.5 x 2" fluted pan, and it prebaked beautifully. Caveat: These really are pretty little weights, and I would be cautious around little ones at the age of putting everything in their mouth since these could look tempting and be a choking hazard. Buy that goes for many things, and with care and attention, these can be safe.

Product Description
These pie weights are your great helper for blind baking, prevent pie crust or other pastry from shrinking or forming bubbles while baking, easy to place and arrange as needed. Just place baking parchment paper on the pie crust and pour on enough weights, then bake as usual, no more big air bubbles, only perfectly smooth crust ready for its filling.
How to use and clean:
1 Line the pie crust or pastry with parchment paper aking paper, fill with enough pie weights before baking.
2 Bake in a preheated oven at 400℉(200℃) until the edges of the crust are starting to brown, then remove the crust from the oven.
3 Remove the weights out of the pie, return the pie crust to the oven to let it crisp up and cook through.
4 Wash the pie weights aking beans after cool down with clean water by hand, detergent should be used if the weights are sticked with oil.
Why you need ROCKSHEAT Pie Weights?
Heat resistant up to 600℉, higher than the competitors, possesses robust thermal stability, also much harder than the competitors, will not break easily under high temperature baking.
Docking the crust with fork may serve the same purpose as using pie weights, but sometime the crust still puff up and shrink. When your filling is very liquidy, the filling will seep into the holes and make the crust soggy. The two methods can be used interchangeably, but you can not simply dock the pie crust instead of using pie weights.
All reusable, easy to clean, more thermal conductive than dried beans or rices, does not absorb flavors or creat odors.

Beads Seem Quality and More Weight
Received these yesterday. Washed and dried. When storing in the container, I found a few that had a strange texture on the outside. It does not come off easily, possibly at all, so I assume it is something that happened during production. I took these beads out but that may not be necessary. Even after removing these, I still had 1012g/2lb 3.7 oz worth of beads so no harm, no foul. Excited to try them out this weekend!
