At night I just plug in my phone and tablet. I did have to buy usb-c adaptors' for it to charge new phone and tablet. It does come with one usb-c intergraded in it and the rest are regular usbc. It does not overheat and works flawlessly for the past 6 months I have owned it.. It is practical because of the small size of it and comes in jbeautiful colors. They are well made and constructed!!!
