You get what you pay for
You can find better, albeit more expensive scoops. The one thing that this has going for it is the lower price tag (at least at the time of writing this review). Out of the box it had problems but I was able to fix them by bending the geared metal tabs all different ways. The metal on the geared tabs is thinner than on my other scoops (see side-by-side photo). Even with the lower cost, I think it is worth spending twice as much to get a better quality one. I ended up returning this because it squeaked and felt more flimsy - Not something I could fix by tinkering with it. The blade would also stop shy of rotating all the way. Not worth it in my opinion, but people who are not as picky as me can make it work and ignore its shortcomings.
