Beauty in simplicity
I received the natural wood version of this vase and it is absolutely beautiful. The wood is super smooth and the use of the grain for design is perfect. I love it as is but since it is unfinished wood, it could easily be painted or stained to your liking. Obviously, it can’t be used with water, but it is so pretty on its own that I think it could be used as a stand alone piece if you don’t like dried or fake greenery. Would love to get another in a color just because it’s so pretty! (And I’m not a big vase fan)

    Wooden vases have more interesting texture and I don't have to worry about them being accidentally knocked over and breaking. The shape of these vases are also nice and fluid.

    I got the natural color and it looks great, particularly from a distance…up close you can tell the vase is rough in some places. I think to really make it look amazing you could polish it up a bit, but overall it is very cute is a great size and weight.

    I was on the fence about this vase because I was afraid of it being that cheap wood material that’s isn’t real and looks like the insides of an old bookshelf from the 80’s and I was unfortunately right. This is not real wood, it is a plywood type of material and it is unfinished and not in a good way. It feels very grainy and cheap just like the vintage plywood they wood make cabinets and shelving from. They actually still use this type of material on the back on bookshelves that you have to use about 111 nails to attach haha. This is EXACTLY like that and I am not a fan. In the photos it looks like it has potential. Especially the various colored ones which is why I took the plunge. In person, not so much. I was so disappointed when I opened it. Maybe the colored/stained ones will be better? I don’t know, this isn’t for me though. And it isn’t sealed if I wasn’t clear when I said unfinished so this is absolutely for decorative purposes only meaning no water whatsoever. Even in the stained ones you cannot use water. To me, the value isn’t there and I personally wouldn’t spend more than a fourth of what’s its listed for.
