Excellent value if picked up on sale. Snagged this for $220 and it absolutely stomps. Cinebench multi core comes in at 924. Compared to the top of their benchmarks this is tremendous performance per dollar, with the very best Apple M1 Ultra 20 core scoring just over 1600. Heck, the next best ranked a Ryzen 5 Threadripper 2990 with 32 cores only manages a synthetic 1201. That's nuts!
I've had this up and running for a few hours with a very basic ID-Cooler Frozen a620 and it runs well within spec. Idle around 40c, full load around 65c. This packaging does not come with a cooler of any kind, so keep that in mind when you're budgeting.
As I've been running benchmarks it'll hit the max TDP of 65w and just.....breeze through computations. No fuss, no muss. In general duty so far it smoothly ramps clock speed depending on the load without hiccups or slowdown. I never thought I'd see the day where a factory CPU will peg itself to 5.4ghz and scream for more yet sip power like this thing does.
Just simply floored at how far AMD has come.
