I had no idea what I was in for but was I surprised! I thought the 15 lb weighted blanket would be too heavy for me but I was wrong. The suggestion that you buy one that is 10% of your weight (now you know how obese I am) is about right on. Plus I got the queen size (60x80 inch). This thing is so comfy and snuggly. Every time I use it in my chair I fall asleep and my legs stop hurting. It's quite warm but not too warm. I don't know how it will feel in the summer but right now it's just right. I feel like Goldilocks hitting the jackpot. My cats love it too. It's the old adage of MoveYour Feet Lose Your Seat with them.🤣🤣
It says it can be machine washed but I don't recommend it myself. I haven't washed it but the weight of it in a home machine, well I just think it would be too much, even for these newer machines out there. Plus there's the glass beads. They feel very tiny. Can you imagine them getting out through a tiny hole or a big hole and getting into your pump and/or drain? A catastrophe in the making. So yeah, I don't recommend machine washing it. Just be careful and don't spill on it. If you do, wipe it up right away.
The "fur" side or fluffier side is wide set, like other reviewers have said. But I don't think that takes away from the pretty of it. The "sherpa" side is more dense but it's nothing like real sherpa wool. Can you imagine the cost if it was real fur and sherpa? Wow! Too much!
It's not the best weighted blanket on the planet but it's not the worst either. I think it's well worth the price I paid. Much better than I had expected it to be. I'm very happy with it. It exceeded my expectations. But you don't have to take my word for it. If you can afford it and it's the recommended weight for your weight, then buy it. If you don't like it send it back. It's fairly easy enough to do.
Just an extra PSA here...don't use this weight on a child or an older senior person that is on the weak side. If they can't lift it, it might do more harm than good. Just my opinion and word of caution. They don't recommend using a weighted blanket on a person who can't lift it off or a young child or infant either. Just a little public service advice...
To sum it up though, I was surprised at how much I really like this weighted blanket and how good it makes me feel after using it, especially my legs.

The best!!
I've had this for about two months. We use it on the couch every single day. My kitties also go bonkers for napping on it. Still soft and pretty as can be, the perfect weight, and never lost a bead, as there are no holes (if you received a defective product, return it). This isn't a bedspread and isn't designed to be. Is an excellent throw, or nice for a twin. Anyway, we're ordering two more, so each of us can have one. Is also the first weighted blanket I've seen that's actually cute. They all used to be steel gray.
