    I can always trust Lionel to deliver a quality product.
    This Lionel Toy Story train was a tremendous hit with my grandkids. After I assembled the track and after showing my 6 yo granddaughter how the remote works, she and my 2 yo grandson played with the train for hours. The whistle and bell on the remote worked, the tracks never separated and the train stayed on the tracks going forward and backward. This was a great value and first train for the grandkids.

      I got this to surprise my kids for after we put up the tree.

      They loved it! And immediately wanted it set up. Thankfully the track is easy to put together, and after putting in the batteries it was running.

      The train is nice quality, heavy enough to stay stable, but light enough for kids to play. With 2 toddlers around, the track is staying together nicely.

      Can't say too much about battery life yet, but hopefully it lasts. The train does need 6 C batteries and the remote needs 3 AAA.

      Regardless of the following complaint, have to say that this train is AMAZING. Our little ones are in LOVE, and it's just like the train in the opening of Toy Story 2! The remote control is easy to use, the sounds are real, the music is clear, and the figurines/train itself looks great!

      BUT the tracks aren't labeled in any way, and we can't - for the LIFE of us - figure out how to get a nice oblong shape; it's almost like we're missing a piece, even though we definitely aren't.

      After one too many tries, we've decided the best way is to leave a few of the tracks semi-loose. This doesn't always work and the train often slides off the tracks, but the only other option is to connect everything, which makes the track too tight and lifts half of it to a weird 45° angle.

      It's annoying.

      And considering the price, you would hope there'd be 0 issues. But overall, the kids are happy and it'd be too much of a hassle to return/exchange. We'll be keeping it and continuing to try and make it work. Wish us luck

      Bought this last Christmas season (December 2023) after our previous Lionel Polar Express train started having issues. Used for 2-3 weeks before packing it away with the Christmas things. Pulled it out for Christmas 2024, got everything set up, new batteries installed, and it will only run for 2 seconds at a time before the Motor stops. Tried different batteries, took it apart to see if anything was stuck (nothing is stuck) and took this video of what it does. Could never get it working again. For the price, definitely expected it to last more than 1 season. Super disappointed and so were my kids who were excited to have the train out again this year.
